yep, you’re hearing from me after a while.

so here i am

today’s read might be a little different
a little rant-y
a little behind-the-scenes
but whatever. this is real

working in an agency where you call the shots?

sounds fun
sounds glam
but oh man
no one really talks about the other side

see, in a way, you’re working “for yourself”

but not really.

⦁ the timelines aren’t yours
⦁ the expectations aren’t yours
⦁ and honestly, the chaos isn’t yours either

your team member can (rightfully) say

because everyone deserves an off day

but here’s the truth: that option doesn’t exist for you

i’ve learnt this the hard way
after a few tantrums
some 3am venting
and one very dramatic “i quit” or even “why aren’t my parents rich” moment
but it hits different when your client is in the same boat

this week, one of our clients messaged:

and see, our job is retainer work.

deliverables? numbered
deadlines? set
agency targets? achieved

but if they’re not feeling okay, that’s also my problem

so we jumped on a 15-min call
realigned everything
extended help way beyond our original scope

because idc about the scope
i care about the people

so yep
we went back to the board
reworked things from scratch
and honestly?

that part’s the most fun
it’s hard
but when things feel too easy, i start to worry we’re not pushing enough

maybe that’s just me

and in this case it worked…

this is just on day 1

we’re not done

not even close

we’ve got ideas, fire, and a point to prove

well, no edition by geeta would be complete without...
you know where this is going 😬

so Rohan, one of our devs, was on leave yesterday
normal, right?
except turns out... it was his birthday
and i found out in the night and this is how it went

so now you know what to do 👀

go blow up his DMs, and do exactly what he told me not to do

wish him the loudest belated happy birthday!
