Welcome to Inagiffy!
24th June 2025
hello again folks
today’s learning: old SOPs can be broken
it’s friday evening. i’m ready to binge watch The Rookie
i get a message asking for a call
i know him. we heard he wanted to compete with us at one point
later he dropped the idea and we haven’t spoken in years
he says, i need you to take over our newsletter with half a million subs
twice a week
pronto
i said, happy to but we need 2 weeks to onboard you
he said, i can go ahead but you need to do it in 3 days
im counting in my head, saturday, sunday, monday who in my team is going to sit and write his nl over the weekend?
nobody. which means i have to
but most importantly, do we have enough context and creative freedom to do this? i said, one condition “we get a free hand to do what we want. you get results, that’s my responsibility”
he said done
contract sent, work started
the first edition went a few hours ago, and it’s already got close to a dozen requests to help them replicate what we showcased in the newsletter
the best part? we’ve never done something like this in a newsletter before
The best marketing ideas come from marketers who live it. That’s what The Marketing Millennials delivers: real insights, fresh takes, and no fluff. Written by Daniel Murray, a marketer who knows what works, this newsletter cuts through the noise so you can stop guessing and start winning. Subscribe and level up your marketing game.
so here’s what happened:
this newsletter is in one of the most crowded spaces. which means there is no inspiration. you look at every newsletter in the space, and instead of getting inspired you go like “okay, so don’t do this too”
the more i narrowed down, the most painful it got to think how this would be different
and then i had a aha moment
”arnav, you want to learn” ”you keep seeing videos and you’re like i also wanna make” then wtf are you doing
do it. learn and teach
and that’s it
that was the newsletter
spent hours to figure it out tried prompts and prompts and finally got outputs i giggled at when i saw the output
it worked out despite the cta being in the second half of the newsletter

and it’s unlike any newsletter in this space
when people ask ”bro will ai kill your agency” i say ”if ai can replicate me, yes” but i aint letting that happen
moral of the story:
let the past remain in the past
sometimes what takes 2 weeks can be done in 2 days
weekends can be fun with work only if you really enjoy it
create work that becomes inspirational for others, stop trying to be inspired
PS: it did delay other proposals
but im pumped more than ever before!
We shall see you next time!
