The story before the calm
Surely co-ordinating teammates from six cities across the country into a 12-hour long roadtrip is a piece of cake, right?
If that wasn't a task already, the plot gets thicker:
A. Cancelled Flights:
5:00AM is a great time for such news…

B. Passed out and missed picking up a teammate:
Another cab picked him up, don’t worry
C. Invoking Sean Paul:
Remember when he said “I got the right temperature to shelter you from the storm”? Need that man right now.

Birthday wis-dumb…
So, my avengers have finally assembled— shivering, sleep deprived and HELLA awkward.
We’re all meeting for the first time, you see.
How’d I navigate this?
No shop talk (I need a medal for this)
Had 1:1 interactions to make everyone feel seen
Did NOT force interactions among them. They’ll always find ways to talk. (The common ground was bullying Tushar, mostly)
Here’s how Manali helped:
Lovely bonfires to spark a conversation
Party games like Mafia 🍻
The impeccable hospitality at our property
Check it out here
Siddu (not a teammate, it’s the local food here)
What’s your go-to strategy to fit into a group conversation? |
Passing the mic
My fingers are freezing. I’m going to let the team take over.
“Guys, what’s your highlight?”
NOT Naggar Castle
NOT Jana Waterfall
Paragliding over Solang Valley
ATV ride to Anjani Mahadev temple
The views in Solang and Sissu
Tanishq’s naagin dance
Geeta firing our cab driver and taking his job
And the best for the last—

We fell in love with Manali; he fell for a woman who scribbled her Instagram ID over a dusty car window.
Have you been to Manali? What was your itinerary like?
Pie for everyone
Well, Manali was cold but the warmth from my birthday night— literal and metaphoric kept me going.

And get this— snowfall.
I’m convinced my life is a Bollywood movie.

Here’s the laugh track (it’s vaish lol)
I know it’s my birthday but, I’d love to give you a gift that keeps giving.
Excited?
