- what deadlines?
what deadlines?
swear I could set this response as my ringtone!
Gen Z really does have a work ethic problem
before you hate on my (can be Arnav and Anirudh) DMs.
Let me tell you:
our company is 90% Gen Z, except for Geeta, ofc.

What's wrong with Gen Z's work culture?
It's not just about being lazy - it's this weird mix of wanting everything but not wanting to work for anything.
They'll post hustle culture content all day but won't reply to important messages. They want high salaries but treat basic work expectations like they're toxic.
Most think they're ready to be CEOs right out of college. But ask them to show up to meetings on time or meet a deadline, and suddenly it's "unreasonable pressure" and "toxic work culture." Having structure isn't toxic - it's how shit gets done.
Here's what happens every time:
⦁ Interview: I'm so passionate about this! I'll put my all into it!
⦁ First week: Takes 8 hours to reply to messages
⦁ Second week: Starts missing meetings
⦁ Month 1: Completely ghosts important tasks
⦁ Performance review: Doesn't even care enough to improve
The dev situation? Even worse. The only reason we're finally moving forward is because Fueler's helping us find people who actually want to work.

and here’s an announcement i did a few days back:

⦁ 🐝👋🏻 is screwing us this week. Open rates are in the gutter across every single IP we have.
⦁ Started doing outbound and we're sending out samples left and right. Zero conversions, though. Need to figure out what the hell we're doing wrong here.
⦁ Also, caught Arnav playing Chanakya on repeat today. Man's clearly stressed but at least he's got good taste.

And that’s a wrap on this edition! If you've made it this far, thanks for not ghosting us like some mythical Gen Zers might. 😂 Whether you’re nodding in agreement or itching to debate the work ethic issue, I hope we sparked something in you today.
Navigating these generational quirks isn’t just about ranting - it’s about finding solutions that resonate across all ages. It’s tough, no lie, but hey, at least it keeps things interesting. And remember, for every ghoster, there’s a Krish absolutely crushing it. Let’s not paint everyone with the same brush, right?
If today's chat got you thinking or you just want to share your two cents (or vent, we’re here for that too), hit us up. We’re all about keeping the conversation going and building a community where everyone, Gen Z or not, can thrive.
Need some help turning your newsletters into something your subscribers won’t want to miss? Or maybe you just want to make sure your team feels heard and valued? We’ve got your back.
Until next time, keep questioning the norms, pushing the envelope, and celebrating those small wins. They all add up. And hey, maybe crank up some Chanakya and see if it doesn’t just sort out that stress.
Catch you in the next one.
