it’s been a while. lets actually give a reality check
today’s edition is about my learnings running inagiffy so far (at least some of them)
1. the playbook can be created just for a few things. luck plays a role
we have figured how to monetise some clients:
and some remain like this:
sometimes it’s the niche
sometimes it’s just luck
but cracking ad sales for one client doesn’t automatically mean you can replicate for all
plus. the biggest learning doing newsletters for so long is that ads shouldn’t be the sole way to monetise
if you aren’t selling a product / service. your distribution is basically being used by others (and that’s so much roi lost for you)
2. socials work better than outbound
no. this isnt easy
but it’s possible.
building distribution > cold dming people when you have no authority
you’ve got keep cracking socials (im going to start doubling down on this)
3. seo is a nice to have
ive done this time and again with my team
ive got leads through search too
but ive lately understood that there’s a platform better than seo
and that’s where we’re building our software. so stay tuned.
but yes. essentially seo is a long term vision
some platforms give you the same results in days if not weeks (what seo takes a year to do)
4. As an agency, you’re building more wealth for your clients than yourself
the quicker you understand this. the better.
somtimes you’re going to feel the pinch saying why am i not doing this for myslef
sometimes you’re going to be selfish and learn the hard way
accept. and build
but yes. that’s my nuggets of info for today.
