reduce the amount of money you make
waste all the effort you put in writing the newsletter
and most importantly annoy you reader?

when you put your poll in the first section
yes, your CTR will go up and people loving giving their opinion
and that might attract more sponsors

but when you get a sponsor
the reader won’t scroll to reach the sponsored section

TLDR: if you’re putting a poll, put it at the end of the newsletter
value your reader’s time. and ensure they value yours (the time you took to write it)

so while polls might be fantastic
they’re distracting
and that’s why AMP exists

so until then, if you’re using html / non amp
put poll at the end
or don’t put it at all
